A fascinating book with twists to keep any reader interested

I found this book full of humor and quite different from JAK's others. The twists kept me wondering what to expect and I enjoyed them immensly. This is a book to read carefully and at least twice. Trust me I don't say this about any novel! Please read my other reviews and tell me if they helped you.
A Great Read!

I thought this book was great! Plain and simple. I was "on the edge of my seat" while reading it. I thought it was very suspensful and well written. One of her best ones. I just wish I could see the movie but I can't seem to find it on VHS anywhere..
I can understand WHY it was made into a movie for TV!

This one was made into an original Harlequin movie on The Movie Channel! Sara Fraser goes for visit to her uncle Lowell Kincaid. However, he seems to be missing. Knowing his secretive background she begins to worry. Her uncle once told her that if anything ever happened to him she was to go to Adrian Saville. Adrian just sold his first thriller novel. It is all about gold and documents hidden during the Vietnam War and the agent sent to fetch them at all costs. Lowell had given him the idea during one of his wild stories. He knows Lowell well and is not concerned when Sara shows up telling him that Lowell is missing. Even after they visit Lowell's cabin and find it tore apart, Adrian is not too concerned. Uncle Lowell had left a message on his answering machine for them to find and instructed Adrian to look after Sara. She has a vivid imagination. Sara deals with it all well until she finds out Uncle Lowell "gave" her to Adrian as a "present" for finishing his novel! Then she finds the sketch of a wolf and knows that Lowell is REALLY in deep trouble. Seems that the renegade agent, code-named "Wolf" was in the area. Lowell had told her a few things about this agent. A real loose cannon! The fact is hit home when someone begins trying to kidnap Sara. ***All this is just the beginning. It sets you up for a roller coaster ride of secrets and outrageous surprises! Many twists that only the most observant readers will figure out before they are revealed. I can see why it was made into a movie for television!***
Classic Jayne Ann Krentz

I agree with the reviewer who wondered if she'd read the same book as the others who have commented. If you love JAK, you'll love THE WAITING GAME. It's on my keeper shelf (in the original issue), and when I reread it recently I enjoyed it almost as much as I had the first time around.
Classic JAK!

Frankly, I don't think the other reviewers and I read the same book. If you enjoy JAK, especially her earlier categories, you're going to love this book. World-weary Adrian Saville is the quintessential Krentz hero - an alpha male who recognizes his mate when he finds her. Bright and optimistic, Sara Frazier is the perfect foil for Adrian, and her strength and intelligent match his perfectly. The suspense is tightly woven and utterly engrossing. Read this book!
